چکیده

Aims To investigate the associations of baseline apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) and B (ApoB) levels with persistent incident diabetic macular oedema (DMO) after 6 months follow-up. Methods This is a prospective cohort study patients aged ≥30 years untreated retinopathy. Examinations, fundus photography spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) were assessed at baseline, 1, 3 months. Serum lipids apolipoproteins analysed pathology laboratory. DMO was confirmed using SD-OCT, classified as (1) DMO, (2) (3) regressed DMO. Eye-specific data used, controlling for covariates cluster effect. Results We recruited 53 but only 38 completed [(62 eyes), 20 eyes (32.3%) DMO]. Higher quartile ApoA1 associated lower risk persistent/incident (p trend 0.02), while higher ApoB/A1 0.02). Every 10 mg/dL increase in (OR 0.69; 95% CI 0.49 to 0.92; p value 0.016), whereas every 0.2 significantly 1.4; 1.1 1.9; 0.013) end study. Conclusion Individuals diabetes had those These suggest that serum may be important factors could predictive despite anti-vascular endothelial growth factor treatment.

The nonlinear association between apolipoprotein B to apolipoprotein A1 ratio and type 2 diabetes: Erratum

The ratio of ApoB/apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) has been found to be associated with type 2 diabetes, and it was proposed as a new biomarker for type 2 diabetes predictions. Previous studies have assumed that the association between apoB/apoA1 and type 2 diabetes was linear. However, the linearity assumption has rarely been examined. In the present study, we aimed to examine whether this associatio...

Association of apolipoprotein B with incident type 2 diabetes in an aboriginal Canadian population.

BACKGROUND Expanding evidence indicates that apolipoprotein B (apo B) is superior to LDL cholesterol as a marker of vascular disease. Although traditional lipid measures are known to predict type 2 diabetes, limited data are available regarding apo B. We assessed the association of apo B with incident type 2 diabetes and compared it with traditional lipid variables as a risk predictor in aborig...
